Why Troop 989?
Adventure. Leadership. Friendship.
Founded in 1990, Troop 989—based in the Ken Caryl area of Littleton, Colorado—is one of the region’s most active and accomplished Scout troops. We’re proudly boy-led, community-driven, and serious about having fun.
Looking for challenging, teen-friendly adventures for your son? Scouts ages 11–17 enjoy a year-round calendar packed with monthly campouts (yes, even in winter!) featuring hiking, shooting, boating, biking, and more. Each summer brings both a High Adventure expedition and a traditional Scout camp—unforgettable experiences that build confidence and lifelong skills.
Troop 989 focuses on the Four Aims of Scouting—character, citizenship, fitness, and leadership—to develop well-rounded young men ready to take on life’s adventures.
Visit us at a meeting and see why over 120 Eagles have soared from Troop 989—and why your Scout could be next.
